From Haverfordwest take the B4327 heading towards Dale.
There are other routes into Little Haven but this one is the best route for finding Wild Winds for the first time! It’s a road with lots of dips and turns.
You will drive through Dreenhill, then Ratford Bridge with its sharp bend and continue on towards Dale until you see signs for Little Haven Retreat and Hasguard Cross Caravan Park. SLOW DOWN. You’ll need to turn right at the sign for Little Haven which comes immediately after the Little Haven Retreat signs. Not far now.
You’re now driving past Farm Cottage Bakery entrance on the left, just before some houses on the left.
On the right there is a signpost for Little Haven; turn right here and stay on this road heading down the hill into Little Haven past Howelston Caravan Park on the left.
Continue downhill a short way and you’ll see a development of new houses (Strawberry Close) on your right hand side.
On the left is a sign “ Little Haven” to let you know you’ve arrived.
Drive very slowly past the Little Haven sign and the next house on the left side of the road going downhill into the village is Wild Winds. You can’t see Wild Winds from the road but you can see a small gate with Wild Winds slate sign next to it and a turning area is opposite that gate on the right hand side of the lane. If you drive past Valley View and The Leap then you’ve just missed the turning.
Turn left up an unmade road to the gate at the top and you’ll see the driveway to Wild Winds on the left and the entrance to National Trust Sheepfields immediately in front of you. There is parking for three cars and a trailer on the drive.
